History
Blumenau Iluminação was founded in 1978 by Orlando Zeno Pamplona. After retiring, he thought it was too early to stop working, so he decided to start the new company, originally called "Luminárias Blumenau". In the beginning, it was just a little room, with two machines, three workers, and an old VW Kombi. The first products were sconces and hanging lights.
In 1992 Blumenau Iluminação was already established in Brazilian lightning market, and had a growing product's demand. So the company built its new headquarters, in a 125,000 square meters land. From then on, Blumenau Iluminação became even stronger in lightning market, and its quality was recognized with an important prize: "1994 Leão de Honra", for the best companies in Cone Sul (Brazilian's South and Southeast, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Chile).
The new home enabled Blumenau Iluminação to produce more and figure among the main lightning companies in Brazil, having won almost 20 prizes for its quality. Nowadays, we employ 160 people, who produce 300 models of luminaries, spots, sconces, hanging lights, lamps, and many others.
